I was moreso referring to people who either plan to be able to flee the country or who plan on doing some “legal-if-jury-nullification” actions themselves.

It’s going to be hard enough for them to find 12 impartial jurors that can come to a unanimous decision about the death of the CEO of one of the largest companies in the most hated industries. The chance of finding 12 that also are willing to consider the death penalty even being an option will be impossible.
For many, the death penalty even being asked for will make them more sympathetic to Luigi’s defense.
They’ll just bribe the jurors. The DOJ won’t care, because where are you gonna appeal? The SC that only gives a shit about lining their own pockets?
