"Oh sorry, Hamas actually was never in northern Gaza in the hospital we’ve been claiming they’ve been in for years, in the imaginary tunnels we claimed existed with an extensive multi-leveled underground structure we even made a 3D video for.

No, actually, they’ve been in this other hospital in southern Gaza this whole time, the area we told everyone from northern Gaza to go to and totally aren’t just using as an excuse to continue the invasion into the rest of the country."

Isn’t this just saying the central command center is elsewhere? This isn’t a denial that Hamas’ have been using multiple hospital’s basements for command centers.

Obligatory fuck bibi and the IDF for the genociders that they are, so with that out of the way, why defend people that use the injured as a shield?

      Posted three days ago:

The White House on Tuesday said it had its own intelligence that Hamas was using Gaza’s largest hospital Al Shifa to run its military operations, and probably to store weapons, saying those actions constituted a war crime.

“We have information that confirms that Hamas is using that particular hospital for a command and control mode” and probably to store weapons, national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters aboard Air Force One. “That is a war crime.”

He said the United States had information that Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad were using some hospitals in the Gaza Strip, including Al Shifa, to conceal or support their military operations and to hold hostages.

He said those groups were also prepared to respond to Israeli military operations against that facility.

That information came from a variety of intelligence methods, he said, adding that the Biden administration had downgraded the classification level of some of the data on Tuesday so it could share its conclusions with reporters.

Kirby underscored that Hamas’ actions in the hospitals did not lessen Israel’s responsibility to protect civilians, but acknowledged that it made Israel’s efforts to root out Hamas more complicated.

“To be clear, we do not support striking a hospital from the air. We do not want to see a firefight in a hospital where innocent people, helpless people, sick people are simply trying to get the medical care they deserve,” he said.

Or are you gonna say that the us is also making this stuff up for Israel’s sake?

The IDF completely failed to show any evidence of a “Hamas command center” at al-Shifa, despite spending weeks claiming it was the primary command center with a multi-leveled underground network. They made an entire 3D mockup video.

Now, they claim that in 3 days while the hospital was under siege by the IDF, Hamas concreted up all of the tunnels so perfectly that they can’t even show evidence of said tunnels being blocked off.

How am I defending Hamas by pointing out blatant lies by the IDF?

The US is just using the same ‘intelligence’ Israel has, there’s no evidence they’ve got their own sources (or they wouldn’t have been surprised by Oct 7).

If Hamas had enough opsec to secretly prepare an attack with thousands of fighters, there’s no reason anything would’ve changed afterwards.

In answer to your final question. You asked if the US is making this stuff up for Israel’s sake.

To begin with, the question itself is mistaken. US intelligence is not independently gathered. The US intelligence community is making statements based on things that they’re told by Israeli government sources. So they aren’t making anything up, because all they’re doing is repeating what someone else said.

Second, there is no single motive that captures the US’s goals. Different people within the US government have their own objectives. Supporting Israel is one objective that some people have, in addition to all of their other objectives.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

As Israel intensifies its ground offensive in Gaza, amid serious humanitarian concerns, its former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has told Euronews: “the war must go on” until Israel reaches its endgame: the end of Hamas.

Olmert also claimed Hamas’ underground command centre was based in Khan Yunis, a city in the southern Gaza Strip.

For the past week, Israeli troops have been raiding the al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical complex and central hospital north of the strip, with intel, they say, that the command centre is there.

The military said late on Thursday it had uncovered a Hamas “tunnel shaft” and a vehicle with weapons there.

"Khan Younis, which is in the southern part of Gaza Strip, is the real headquarters of Hamas.

“They have the leadership, they are hiding, they have the bunkers, they have the command positions, they have the launching pads.”

The original article contains 178 words, the summary contains 142 words. Saved 20%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

This is just “good cop bad cop” except both cops want the suspect to get the death penalty.
