Biden’s going hard on diplomacy, most of which we don’t see. We do see some of the carrot and stick approach he’s using. The stick is the canceled shipment. The promise of future arms is the carrot he’s dangling in front of isreal.

Biden reeeeealy wants to see Netanyahu gone

He’s being consistently ignored about Rafah and then he goes for the carrot? I’m sure giving him what he wants will really help get Netanyahu out.

What he’s doing is public hand wringing, private support. If anything actually changes I’ll happily change my mind. I’d love to see it. But no, we get more dead kids.

Completely delusional. Literally just making up a reality and choosing to live in it regardless of anything that happens.

Is it also delusional to say that Biden is intentionally alienating the people most likely to vote for him?

I think it’s safe to say it’s a complex situation and saying Biden is doing everything he can is just as stupid as saying he is doing nothing at all.

Is it also delusional to say that Biden is intentionally alienating the people most likely to vote for him?

Of course not. The democrats fully expect anyone on the left to continue supporting them because “what are you gonna do, vote Trump?” The people Biden is most likely to alienate are the people most likely to vote for him, because he has no reason to cater to the demands of safe voters.

Not to mention the fact that he’s literally spent his entire career unwaveringly supporting Israel, and all his current actions are totally consistent with full support for Israel and everything it’s doing. You know, actual evidence.

You are right to say it’s stupid to claim he’s doing nothing at all. What he’s doing is much, much worse than nothing - he is unconditionally arming a genocide.

If we don’t see it, how do you know he’s going hard on diplomacy? Is giving Israel more fucking weapons to kill children “diplomacy”?

Cognitive dissonance, otherwise they must admit that the Biden is a genocidal maniac. But since that admission will lead to uncomfortable conclusions perhaps even tankieism, it is best to imagine Biden playing some complex anti-genocide game behind the scenes despite all evidence and remain blissfully liberal. You don’t want Trump to win do you?

I think that boat is gone now with Bernie being so old. But yes, you could have elected him and have one guy who genuinely cares about people. But I guess money is before people.

      Kind of sad, isn’t it?

I really hated all the stupid reasons given for why Bernie could not be president by democrats who voted for Biden

Of which none included the fact that the DNC chooses its candidates beforehand and opts to support them to win their scam primaries.

He’s independent and probably running for his last term, should honestly run for president just to show how many votes Biden is not going to get anyway.

Biden administration last week: We think there’s good reason to believe that Israel has used our weapons in a way that violates international law.

That same day: “Are you still going to give them weapons though?”

A: Oh, of course we are…nobody said anything about that. We’re talking billions with a B.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration has told key lawmakers it is sending a new package of more than $1 billion in arms and ammunition to Israel, three congressional aides said Tuesday.

The White House has come under criticism from both sides of the political spectrum in the U.S. over its military support for Israel’s now seven-month war against Hamas in Gaza.

Some of President Joe Biden’s fellow Democrats have pushed him to limit transfers of offensive weapons to Israel to pressure the U.S. ally to do more to protect Palestinian civilians.

Following Biden’s move to put a pause on bomb shipments last week, Republicans have been swift in their condemnation, arguing it represents the abandonment of the closest U.S. ally in the Middle East.

But House Democrats are somewhat divided on the issue, and roughly two dozen have signed onto a letter to the Biden administration saying they were “deeply concerned about the message” sent by pausing the bomb shipment.

In addition to the written veto threat, the White House has been in touch with various lawmakers and congressional aides about the legislation, according to an administration official.
