A single senator from a state with less population than a small city (500,000) in California can stop a law that would benefit tens of millions of people. It makes the votes of less populous states disproportionately more powerful than a vote from a large state.
The people in power don’t care about people with a few shares. You can sell all your shares right now and nobody would notice.
Reddit’s power benefits whomever wants to push an agenda and a narrative while minimizing any info that could counter that.
Senate rules are embarrassing. One corrupt person can block a law that would benefit everyone in the country. The vast majority of US senators are bribed by dozens of wealthy donors.
Reddit shareholders also own a lot of shares in much more lucrative industries.
Bots have been controlling votes on Reddit for years. It costs about $50 to get to the front page of Reddit.
Reddit’s value is its ability to use bots to manipulate and distribute information. It’s just like Twitter, meta and all the other social media platforms.
The wealthy want AI to be treated as actual intelligence when it is just a machine that spits out the words that its owner allows.

Difficult jobs are worth more hours than easy jobs and require more specialized skills. If the specific skill is not part of the repertoire then the job will be exceptionally difficult and/or impossible.
Private investors are just as greedy as publicly traded companies. They’re just trying to change from visible scumbags to hidden ones.
This doesn’t make sense. Nobody is supposed to ingest all media. It is impossible.

It should be celebrated that we have so much accessible art and entertainment.
This generation is plagued by AAA studios wasting years of work making live-service games that very few people want. Big money is chasing risky trends.
