When I was a kid and I was trying to get to sleep, I’d close my eyes and remember all the different bedroom layouts I’d lived in. Like in one place the wall was to the left and top and the door was down by the foot of the bed. In another place the wall was just to the top and the window was to the left and down. At the beginning, a musician at a keyboard composes the basic tune. Then a whole series of MFers overproduce it to hell. At the end, the original musician happens to meet the singer who did the human part of the final rendering and is the “star” who everybody watches perform. In a better day, the original musician would be the star, but in this process they are insignificant.

dunno about the anxiety part. But the creativity part, I always assumed it was bc the “filter” that keeps ya down finally got sleepy, leaving you free to self-actualize. The specifics probably vary by individual.
