I always think about that time in the 90s cartoon where Xavier made Magneto relive the Holocaust. Like, dude was about to kill him and enact a genocide of his own, but still, damn.

My favorite thing about this comment was after writing my first response I was like - damn what if Xavier just is always sitting in the comics cuz he’s like just never shown standing or walking he’s just lazy. Then you see him walking and readers are like holy shit. Xavier’s walking! And the editor’s like yeah he does that sometimes. Just likes to sit.

Does he then? Like when people psychically drag him upstairs making him walk I’ve seen it happen before but…

        I guess there’s been a lot of X-Men huh?

Feel like when you start talking about Jean Gray openly using dark Phoenix and especially psychic Snow Queen from hell club Emma Frost you’re later on in the timeline.

But again, there’s a lot of X-Men comics and timelines etc out there. I’m sure he’s been able to walk sometimes. Hell I’m sure the reason can’t walk is different most times…

Yeah, the professor loses and regains the use of his legs on numerous occasions throughout the comics. It’s pretty wild.

He originally becomes crippled after fighting his archenemy… Lucifer.

His body is later destroyed during the Claremont run, after it’s transformed into a brood. His mind is recovered, however, and the Starjammers–with Dr. Moira Mactaggert’s assistance–manage to clone him a new body. Though it takes him a while before he can use it due to psychological pain.
