Summary

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s proposal for a rapid peace deal with Russia, arguing it would lead to a “loss” for Ukraine.

Trump, who has repeatedly claimed he could resolve the war in 24 hours, aims for a quick end, but Zelenskyy insists that a rushed settlement would compromise Ukraine’s independence.

Speaking in Budapest, Zelenskyy also rejected Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s call for a cease-fire, citing failed attempts in 2014.

Additionally, he warned of North Korean troop involvement in Ukraine if Western allies don’t increase political pressure on Pyongyang.

I often see the argument “Which part of your country would you be willing to cede in the name of peace?”

Normally this would be a valid argument, but in trumps case, I’m sure he’d gladly cede California or some other blue state if it meant he gained something from it. He has no scruples or integrity, and thinks other heads of state are the same.

I would gladly be willing to cede Alabama, Mississippi and Texas for peace.

With a slightly growling Chihuahua I saw across the street.

Or like, a baby kitten that wanted my ball of string.

You know what? This conversation is concerning me, here, take my Texas, please!

Good job to everyone sacrificing Ukrainian and Palestinian lives to send a message to the Democrats!

Huh, that’s weird, .ml is strangely quiet in this thread, you’d think they would have something to say, considering how much they screamed the last 3 months.

Trump to Baltic states: “I am altering the deal, pray I do not alter it further.”

Just kidding: “You better say nice things about me or you’re next!”

Ryan is good explaining how military operates, how weapon works, but this is really about predicting what trump will do, and frankly this is much harder to do.

We talk about common sense, it is a non brainier, as helping Ukraine stop Russia is the most beneficial thing for the US and the West. As he pointed out, Ukraine losing likely will bring war to the rest of the Europe and Taiwan, but trump might not care.

What worries me is that so far trump never stood up against putin, he insulted many world leaders, but never did that to putin.

The reason likely is that he was almost bankrupt and putin help him get on his feet, he has a huge debt to him.

I also link to Anders Puck Nielsen https://youtu.be/gOwjmKMmkV4 he is generally more familiar with strategy and so far was on point in his comments (I also believe Ryan is watching him too). Again, we are trying to predict what trump will do, which is not as easy and his decisions seem to be more about what gives him immediate benefit.

The absolute worst scenario that could happen is that the NATO collapses. I hope that won’t happen.

Trump has been a Russian asset since the 80s. His ties to Russian criminal organizations have been known since then, but the FBI has never been able to get any charges to stick.

The CIA believed that he gave Putin information about current intelligence operations and agents against Russia during his presidency enough to request an inquiry which led to the FBI raid on Mar a Lago, where they found confidential documents on CIA activity amongst all the other confidential documents illegally held there after his term.

He will side with Russia, guaranteed.

but this is really about predicting what trump will do

Trump plays pigeon chess — it knocks the pieces over, craps on the board, and flies back to its flock to claim victory.
