As someone who watched The Walking Dead in junior high, watched Breaking Bad in high school, and watched Game of Thrones in college, I never got the sense that the fans were heavily gendered male. Those shows were just popular, with everyone from all walks of life talking about it. Superwholock was more of a Tumblr phenomenon, while those other shows were bigger on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Tumblr was bigger with women and more queer culturally, but Game of Walking Bad was more normie than specifically male.
