Summary

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, after he suggested her “Know Your Rights with ICE” webinar could be illegal.

The event informed immigrants about their rights during ICE raids. Homan claimed the webinar might impede immigration enforcement and said he was working with the DOJ to determine legal action.

AOC dismissed his remarks, stating, “Maybe he can learn to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start.”

She continues to oppose Trump’s immigration policies, including efforts to revoke birthright citizenship.

The Dems definitely need someone with a bite in that position. AOC would be a good choice, indeed.

Today, yeah, I’ll push my rep to vote for her in 2026. Goodness knows he won’t be…

Dems would need a majority first. Then they’d have to agree to get rid of Jeffries (who has only been Minority Leader at this point and unlikely to let go without a fight).

I swear, this site is full of people who have no fucking clue how US politics works in the real world.

I want a sandwich! Fuck, that would mean I would have to go get bread, cheese and other fixings. Guess I can’t have a sandwich because I know how making lunch works in the real world.

No, it would be more like “I want a sandwich, but I have no idea what a sandwich actually is”

More like Dems need to stop self sabotaging themselves for fear of not appeasing their corporate masters. Everytime a good dem candidate that is actually for the people gets popular they get ousted because they are actually “left” not center right.

I’d take democratic any day though compared to hard Reich maga shitheads

“I swear, this site is full of people who have no fucking clue how US politics works in the real world.”

My take away is that non-USians seem to understand politics better; generally. I know that’s a gross generalisation but the amount of US people who think “team blue” is both liberal and left wing is just sad…

Its true a lot of us arent the most politically educated, but that ones not an example. “Liberal” in an American context is usually referring to social liberalism, not economic. Using it in an economic sense doesnt make sense in a country where public healthcare is on the furthest left end of the overton window

Let me tell you how this little game works in the real world.

Since you mention “Dems would need a majority first”. That is a large part of the act. These ‘progressives’ will criticise, oppose and more virtue signaling without doing anything. They propose bills knowing they will never pass. When they control everything, they simply stop proposing them. When they have to vote, they tow the party line. At least some eyes were opened when she endorsed Biden’s genocide. (Not the first time she defended US/zionist warcrimes OC) She will cry “concentration camps” when Trump opens child immigrant dentention facilities. But when Joe opens them, suddenly she calls them “influx facilities”.

            And this is based on…?

Right you just made it up.

That took me entirely too long. I had to question why the hell you took a picture of your computer looking at this post. Presumably from your phone, which you presumably uploaded the picture from, instead of just taking a screenshot.

I don’t like genocide supporters. Or kids in jail. Or union- strike busters Warmongers and regime chance advocats.
