Babies were killed in Israel by Hamas at the kibbutz Kfar Aza, and some of them were beheaded during the surprise attack on the residential community, according to a reporter on the ground for i24 News.

The written i24 news report, by journalist Nicole Zedek says, “About 40 babies and young children have been taken out on gurneys — so far.”

The Jewish Chronicle reported that the reports emanated from Kfar Aza kibbutz near the Gaza border.

You can watch the i24 reporter’s original report, which was shared on X, below. In it, she said that babies were beheaded. i24News is a 24-hour television news channel based in Tel Aviv, Israel.

It has been confirmed by many other news sources. Now even president of USA mentioned it, although not beheading, just killing.

Which news sources have independently confirmed this? Last I had seen the source was pretty much "Some IDF guys said so"

If you wish to search photos of decapitated kids to satisfy your disbelief, go ahead but that's where I draw the line. That's one image I could live without in my memory and even if it's not true, they have committed enough atrocities to justify any response.

I don't but at this point fuck it. I'll be the sacrificial goat. But since so many people here claim to have seen them I'm surprised nobody has linked any evidence.

they have committed enough atrocities to justify any response.

No they absolutely have not. What a disgusting response.

The problem is that there are no other sources on this. All the articles I've read through cite i24 or the IDF who only have soldier accounts of what was seen, but no soldiers named.

One of the articles mentioned multiple journalists being there yet i24 is the only one talking about it. i24 is also based in Tel Aviv.

Until separate accounts or physical evidence comes out, this can't be taken as the whole truth. Too many red flags.

Disgusted, yes, but not surprised. All the more so, though, whether or not the thing the article is claiming happened actually happened IS important. We can't just say "that's the sort of thing I think they would have done, so they probably did it" and move on. That's the kind of circular logic that gets us into a place where people honestly believe that significant portions of their government are full of literal Satan worshipers who drink the blood of children.

I get where the comic is coming from, but the range of reactions between 'no way!' to 'yeah, I'm not surprised at all' are exactly indicative of the current state of affairs, regardless of if the actual story is true or not.

Yeah the fact that I could believe anything about Palestine right now is super indicative of what's wrong with Palestine and not at all a perfect stage for disinformation

At this point, you need to be especially critical with what you're reading about this situation. Anyone can say anything, and your inbuilt opinions will let you believe more things about the side you don't like without evidence.

I don't think you get where it is coming from. The comic makes fun of people who are so brainwashed they make up excuses even though they know they are wrong. We had a politican and a former minister of justice on the right side of the political spectrum, that wrote a book where he claimed that immigrants did X and Y. It was a lie, and when he was confronted with the blatant lies, he said "WELL, IT COULD'VE HAPPENED!"

People like this are insanely stupid 😢

Yes. It was even a bad lie. He wrote a small town in Norway had to build a school when one somali refugee got reunited with his wife and 22 kids. The town said this didn't happen, and the right leaning politican went into crazy mode 🤡

Sounds familiar. When the Americans wanted to go into Iraq there was "unconfirmed" stories of Iraqis murdering babies in hospitals. The demonization of people is getting out of control quickly here. Posting stories like this without solid evidence is not only unhelpful, it's very irresponsible

It’s a race war. Hurting your enemy’s ability to reproduce counts.

Actually birthrate is an ongoing war between Palestinians, Israeli Arabs, and Israeli Jews. Israeli families have a lot of kids (at least compared to average Americans) but not nearly enough to keep up with the Arabs. And there are a lot of Arabs inside Israel and of course in the territories. All you have to do is play the demographics out a few decades and Jews will find their majority threatened. This is why they bend over backward to get Jews to move there from around the world. Israel is proud of being a “democracy” but it’s more important to them to remain a Jewish-controlled state. It will be hard to be both when Jews are not a majority any longer.

Making life miserable for Jews so that they will leave or choose not to bring children into the world is a deliberate tactic by the other side to win this long term war of attrition.

Personally I think that’s the whole point of this attack. Palestinians cannot overpower Israel but they can prevent Israelis from ever living a normal life. Israelis live in a pressure cooker of stress and security measures even on a good day. Traffic is awful because they can’t build light rail - it would become a bombing target. No one is more security conscious than Israelis and even they are completely shocked by what has happened here. Think you can have a fun life with music festivals? Think again, says Hamas.

People might wonder what the Palestinians can possibly hope to gain with this kind of awful terrorism. But they are essentially already living in hell. They don’t care how the west perceives them either, because they’ve long since stopped hoping for anyone on the outside to help them.

I remember years ago saying to my Arab relatives “but aren’t they concerned that the world will turn against them for doing stuff like suicide bombings?” They had a good laugh at me.

No, they are in hell and they want Israelis to join them. They are outbreeding the Israelis and persistently undermining their ability to live a normal life. A lot of Israelis are quite pessimistic about the future of their country. When I planned a trip there, my Israeli friend said “oh good! See it before it’s gone!”

What you have there is BBC quoting an Israeli military commander. Not BBC verifying beheaded infants. Despite the reporter being on site with corpses around (including dead Hamas), they did not witness beheaded infants. In fact beheading is not even mentioned in connection to babies. Just elsewhere in the quotes.

So yeah, this heavy.com post is a loosey-goosey hype piece.

This is also obviously a horrible attack and indiscriminate with regard to families. I don’t doubt it. I also don’t doubt that any Israeli authority will play it up to the absolute maximum effect, including fabrications.

There was a lot of this around the music festival too. Reported rapes happening amid piles of dead bodies. Really? And who exactly was around long enough to witness that who then got out alive?

Fog of war is a thing. We can’t believe much with 100% confidence right now. Except that Hamas attacked Israel, as they exist to do and have promised repeatedly to do. And that Israel will play for international sympathy to cover the militaristic slaughter of civilians they are about to perpetrate. The military commander literally said as much:

“ … there is a right side and all the world needs to be behind us.”

Plainly a partisan source playing the media for maximum effect and saying it out loud. I’d be very careful about swallowing anything that might be a horror story designed to dehumanize one side. Like so, from the same article.

They are very aggressive, like animals."

Animals. Subhumans. But, a short time later, this:

I'm sure we fight for our values and culture… we will be very aggressive and very strong but we keep our moral values. We are Israeli, we are Jewish."

So both sides are “aggressive,” but one side are animals while the other are moral. Yyyyyyyep.
