          tldr: carney said that international law is a farce so wealthy countries should stop using it as an shield and chart a course of their own; then a few weeks later carney condemns iran’s self defense as a violation of international law.

            That way, Yeah, I would like him to be stronger on that, I dunno, real diplomacy is like walking a tightrope, I think he’s mostly on the right side of things, better than the alternative would have been in either way

              he’s not different than trump where it matters; a member of the global south is fighting for its life and carney is taking the side of the aggressor imperialist.

                  One of the ways it matters, yes. At least on the wars of imperialism angle, I don’t really care for the portrayal of the Iranian regime as helpless victims themselves.

                  Doesn’t mean I want shit eating neoliberals to pretend it’s okay to kill as many school kids as it takes to make the oil cheap again, criticizing the war from one side of their mouth and ordering another billion dollars in American jets from the other.
