Demands for an immediate ceasefire are growing, and, despite promises of indefinite war from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the United States, as Israel’s principal weapons provider, could shut down the bombardment with one phone call.

    Or neither.

We could elect a third party.

Biden just celebrated that write in ballots in New Hampshire are effective.

Why cant we write in someone?.. Bernie Sanders perhaps?

He is thoroughly qualified and supports no genocides, foreign or domestic.

Democrats might get to rig their primaries, but there is nothing that says we cant override them and elect a different Democrat at general.

Or we could find someone completely new with no affiliation to the 2 political parties that endorse genocide and war.

Go for it! Just remember, Republicans won’t do that, and you have to do it for a majority of the electoral college, otherwise you just split the vote and you lose. But also writing in a name does not mean that vote will count. Many states require that write-in candidates file paperwork before the election. Otherwise, the state will not count the person’s votes.

Well, Biden is currently projected to lose the electoral college by margins greater than 40%:60% because he is a Democrat genocidal maniac, and a do nothing on all other fronts, so might as well go for it.

If the DNC insists on ignoring constituents and losing, might as well create the strongest case study for how a third party could win to date.

Someone needs to step up though, and the 2 party system has done a wonderfully corrupt job of killing democracy, so idk… personally dont think anyone can do anything to stop the extinction of mankind within the next 300 years, which is pretty fucking bleak.

I love Bernie but splitting the vote is how you get the worst outcome. Cf Nader

Outdated horseshit logic mostly spewed by Boomers.

You need to come up with something better than that.

Voting for genocide is not an option.

As of the 2020 election, 39% of America is disenfranchised from the system because of this rhetoric.

31% of America is Democrat, 29% of America is Republican.

        Democracy has failed.

This played out defeatist “welp, nothing you can do, gotta vote red or blue” mindset continues to kill America.

        Do better.

You’re talking about third parties and you’re getting down votes. Gods, America is so fucked. XD

They’re getting downvotes because the US has a FPTP electoral system that automatically makes it so that a third party candidate just ensures that the other guy you really didn’t want to win, wins. See the election of 1912, and every single election that Ross Perot entered.

Until we switch to an election system that actually allows for third parties, that is just an argument to hand fascists power.

Edit: to be clear, I didn’t want Perot or the Republican candidates every single time he spoiled the chances of a Republican getting elected. I would have been quite happy with Teddy Roosevelt getting elected for a third term in 1912, that would have possibly prevented the rise of Stalin, Hitler, and at least the European theater of WWII.

While I dont necessarily disagree with your points, America pre-Civil Rights Act. Which is where Republican and Democrat dominance is speeding us back to.

        You have no idea broseph.

We have 2 SUPER FASCIST movements clashing against each-other right now.

In the meantime, a population that exceeds both of those 2 fascist movements are vocally disenfranchised and have no idea how to stop, or at the very least slow, this shit superstorm of epic proportions.
