Hi folks! We have a proposed blocker - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2274490 - for Fedora 40 on nVidia RTX 3000 series GPUs , it would be great to get some more testing to confirm whether it affects all such GPUs. The bug should be quite simple - it prevents the system booting at all. So if you have such a GPU, please just try booting the Workstation live image - https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/stage/40_RC-1.13/Workstation/x86_64/iso/Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-40-1.13.iso ...
Hybrid Nvidia support should work fine these days. I’ve been using hybrid amd/nvidia machines since about 2020 without too many issues. You’ll need nvidia-dkms, supergfxctl and asusctl and things should mostly just work otherwise.
I’ve been using those on my Fedora install without a hitch. I think I’m gonna go for the Garuda install today after I finish backing things up. Excited!
