as hideous as the Biden administration has been in supporting Israel’s destruction and ethnic cleansing of Gaza, the fact is that a Republican administration would be even worse. We know this because they’ve told us that it would. This is not idle rhetoric; it’s who they are. The terrible reality is that these are our choices for November. If the Democrats remain in power, we may not be able to win much, but we’ll at least be able to challenge them

Exactly. This is the choice. The party that will double down on genocide, or the party with leaders that are increasing pressure for ceasefire.

And one of those parties also wants to ban abortion, institute minority rule, overturn democratic elections, cut food assistance, cut social security, and give tax breaks to wealthy.

Funny how this comment agreeing with the thesis of the piece is upvoted while the article itself is downvoted. I guess because this emphasizes the need to vote for Biden part while the article spends more time on his failings?

It’s the Ozma/linkerbaan effect. Seemingly negative headline. Often opinion based, hyperbolic but pushed as news to attack biden. You got caught in the reflex. I tend to down vote them most times. But only after seeing how bad the post is. Every once in a while they might post something reasonable. But not everyone takes the time.

It’s a bad headline with regards to the contents of the article which most people here didn’t read.
