the down in this jacket is sustainably and ethically sourced: the geese are shaken vigorously to dislodge loose feathers on a daily basis.

The goose of course hate this, but being canada geese they deserve the punishment and when they’re released as adults they’re too dizzy to ever pose a threat to anyone.

They are objectively better insulation than polyfill lmao. Anyone that’s ever worn real down in actual conditions that require it would agree.

You had an argument in the ethical right and then threw it all away with ridiculous hyperbole.

I got a Canada goose jacket for free and it’s really fucking warm. Definitely the nicest jacket I’ve ever owned. Prob not worth the 1500 bucks or however much they’re charging for it though.

Down performs better than most alternatives, is biodegradable and last decades when properly cared for.

The alternatives that out perform down, usually only in some situations, aren’t biodegradable and are made from oil.

I love how this meme has came a full circle.

    The OG

    Slovak translation

    Back to English

And now this, which just cuts off both watermarks.

There’s also a parallel Ukrainian translation that became very popular among Russians. There’s a certain vibe to it, something about a foreign, yet, very similar and understandable language. Translated back to English it would’ve sounded something like “Oi! Watchu stuffed ur jacket wiz, mate? - WAT DAT JACKET IZ STUFFED WIZ, HÖNK?”. Someone should make it, so that this meme would come full circle twice.

    Also, obligatory XKCD

It’s fleece! I personally butchered a sheep to make it, (as opposed to shearing it) but you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eee…ars. Sheep ears.

look it’s not my fault that polyfill is a fucking disaster and that they happen to make the worst pillows on the planet.

Though there are other nice, non animal products that are also pretty good comparatively.

I don’t know about now, but a couple years back you’d see lineups out the door at that place, I always wondered where people get the money
