I think it’s politically unwise for Zelenskiy to antagonize either candidate… but chances are Trump would start funding Putin regardless of what he did and gosh is it hilarious to see.

This isn’t antagonism, this message isn’t for Trump. It’s an effort to strengthen his allies, set the stage, and focus their initiative should trump become re-elected.

If Trump gets elected again, there is no version of this situation that ends well for Zelenskyy and Ukraine. Nothing was lost by saying this.

Why? Trump has stated he will end the war in 24 hours. The only way he can do that is by turning off aid. Europ won’t do that, and Ukraine won’t stop then. So he is unable to keep his promise.

What more will trump do to Ukraine than not supply arms?

I wish I could say that would never happen… but trump presidency > global pandemic > supply chain collapse > war in Ukraine… We’re all living this bizarre timeline so I won’t jinx it.

Europe doesn’t have the political will to support Ukraine alone long term. If Trump pulls out it will force Ukraine into peace negotiations
