You could always translate it.

I agree with you that anything using Steam’s services should be subject to their terms. I don’t think a lot of people are arguing to the contrary about that. I have heard others accuse, though I don’t know with how much basis, that they apply the same control to games not using their infra.
The only example ever floated of them doing this with out steam keys or them being the distribution source was a single email from steam support to a developer. That has been proven over and over to have been a miscommunication and not actually an enforced policy.
If this is true, I definitely agree that they have done nothing wrong. Problem is with the many conflicting stories online and lack of solid info.

They don’t limit competition, but it’s a more open question whether they are engaging in a form of price fixing.

I can sort of understand their logic. That’s no longer a beach, just a sea of plastic.

Just the other day I was having an argument with some cuckoo here on lemmy about how they believed all rape accusations should be considered guilty until proven otherwise. It’s insane how stupid some people get.

Context and intent matters. With your subsequent explanation, it’s not homophobic / racist. Without it, it seemed way too much like the average MAGA comment.

Hot-swappable batteries

PCMag notes that you can save money in the long run by buying the router from a retailer. “Over the long term, the $10 monthly fee isn’t a great deal, either, since it means forking over $360 during a three-year subscription,” the article said. “The standard dish currently retails for $349 at retailers such as Best Buy and Walmart, but it’s been discounted to $199 or even $89.”
Seriously, this is raging for the sake of raging. It’s not like they stopped selling the equipment.
Or extra smart, depending on your pov

Is that a quote from somewhere?

YOUR assertion was that they’re more common because they’re mined more. By definition that means we’re talking about gems that have been mined and are floating around aboveground. So why are you moving the goalposts now by bringing up the total number underground?
My statement was just addressing your assertion that diamonds are prevalent because they’re mined more due to their value, by pointing out that on the contrary they’re actually being artificially supply constrained to keep that value high. I make no claims about other gemstones.

It’s FOSS, you could check for yourself instead of making baseless accusations.

It’s one of the sites linked in the megathread.

They’re actually donating their excess funds, that doesn’t exactly scream ‘going under’.

On the contrary, the diamond supply is artificially limited by debeer and their cartel. The mines are producing way below capacity to keep prices high.

You say that as if some people don’t literally do the same thing since ‘there’s always room for improvement’.

Unless you sort ONLY by new, you’re a hypocrite who’s benefiting from the vote function. Even active sort is indirectly counting votes since the most posts with the most votes tend to garner the most comments.

Trying games out is absolutely a thing. I’ve bought so many indie games because I tried them out and liked them, that I wouldn’t have taken a chance on.
Fair enough! I can understand that
