  • I honestly just think Trump and many people in the federal government are foreign agents who are doing this intentionally to try to pave the way for a global surveillance state. I don’t think those politicians have any issue with China and Russia. I think they work together to push their vision of the future and have no loyalty to their country or people, even when it’s objectively much better and humanitarian like the U.S. simply put, they probably are trying to destroy America because it represents freedom and privacy in its most basic form. It’s the most liberal country in the world in many ways. It still is despite the massive bot farms and propaganda. If you talk to your average American, they will definitely tell you they support privacy, right to repair, free speech, protest, these types of things. Even with their trillions in propaganda they cannot make people believe something that’s fundamentally irrational.

  • It’s more so that the actual FPS is lower when using FSR in many cases. The GPU frame rate doesn’t matter in terms of input lag and stuff, it’s all about how many time the CPU can loop through the game logic per second.

So basically when you move 10 steps forward in a game, the CPU is running tons of code that take the time elapsed since the previous frame and interpolates where the player should be this frame. This is Delta time, (change in time between this frame and last) it’s multiplied by stuff moving to give fluid movement with a variable frame rate. This is why older games would slow down if the frame rate dropped and new games will still calculate the passage of time correctly, even if you only have 15 FPS.

The fake frames have nothing to do with the game engine or logic, they are deep faked frames that are created with a neural network to fill in between real frames. This does give you something very close to extra frames on the GPU, but there is often a performance hit on the real frames since it’s a heavy process. The CPU has to stay synced to the GPUs real frames since some logic is CPU bound, like physics, creating certain buffers, all kinds of stuff. If the real frame rate of the GPU is lower, it bottlenecks the CPU since it’s also involved to a smaller degree, in rendering real frames. (Preparing data, sending it to the GPU, certain operations which are faster on the CPU that involve rendering like maybe using MMX or other CPU extensions.

So basically the less real frames you have, the longer the wait between when you game engine can detect mouse and keyboard events and update the game world, even if you are getting 2-3 times the frame rate with generated frames.

  • You can’t be socialist and authoritarian. Socialism at its core is a form of radical democracy. Authoritarianism is the polar opposite of democracy. Fascism is total state power and far right nationalism, your definition is pretty close. Fascist also famously just do anything to get power. Everything is about power to them. This is why Hitler called himself a socialist even while purging socialists and communists from Germany. Stalin was also a fascist in many ways, absolute total state power and absolutely no human rights above the interests of the state, and I would would call him moderate, not really left or right. He had many right wing traits. Was an imperialist, heavily stamped down on human freedom and basic dignity under the state, and he made communism basically the state religion, where all children were taught political education at a young age. It is almost exactly like any other right wing authoritarian despot except for the fact he had some actual socialism, like government housing, breaking up corporations, even going so far as to basically abolish the free market and seizing all land from everyone to use for the states purposes. There isn’t much difference. They are very vague terms. I argue with actual fascists sometimes who try to describe it as syndicalist nationalism but they always leave out the stuff about the state being total and absolute, and people losing all their rights, even the preferred ethnicity or whatever, and the worship of the state and divine leader like Hitler or Mussolini or Stalin. They also leave out facts like for some reason once every fascist society, the people there think they are both somehow the superior race and culture, but also victimized to no end. How they both think of themselves as Supermen and also as extremely weak. It’s basically a schizo ideology. Hitler was on meth and stuff, everyone knows this. Something he shares in common with 25% of Americans.

That’s where I think fascism really comes from, Adderall btw. It is well understood that amphetamine abuse causes schizophrenic like symptoms. One thing many people in Germany had in common in the 1930s was a very high level of amphetamine abuse.

  • Generated frames are created using a neural network, they have nothing to do with the actual game scripts and game loop and input polling and stuff. FSR does generate frames to interpolate between real frames but things like physics and input are not being generated as well. It’s only visual. I guess maybe you have to have some basic knowledge about how a computer program and game engine works to understand this.

Basically the CPU steps through the simulation in steps. When you use frame gen, if it lowers the actual frame rate, then the CPU is making less loops per second over everything, like the physics updates, input polling(capturing key presses and mouse events), and other stuff like this.

  • Cool, I have some ideas as well, like maybe write a script that hashes configuration files that needs a secret password to put into edit mode, if the config changes without being out into edit mode first, disconnect the server. Maybe use a raspberry pi that’s hidden from the network to do this. I know that wouldn’t work for large websites maybe because they can’t afford to go down for hours at a time, but it would give you an additional layer of security for sensitive stuff. I’m more into game programming but I know how exploits work and stuff. I’m pretty sure many types of things like this already exist in the market. One idea I had was pretty neat. Basically in your eula you reserve the right to hack back people that try to hack you, and you have an automated system that uses some known exploits to get a ping or maybe install a rootkit on anyone who is trying to mess around in your system. Later you can just get on and deanonymize them. This requires you actually spend time researching your own zero days. People in defcon hacking competitions do this. They are sort of masters with decompilers and hex editors.

  • No reason to care what the state thinks about your marriage. You can still get married without the states involvement. Just have a ceremony and stuff. The only downside is that trans women can’t have children and be in a marriage as a business partnership, but trans women can’t have kids anyways, so it doesn’t matter. Outside of having children, legal marriage is not a good deal. It really only exists in its good form to protect the interests of women who may wish to have children in a relationship. If you really want to you can enter into a contract with someone to split your assets as one body for the duration of the partnership or marriage, so you can specialize without taking all the risk, and then just get married anyways while giving the middle finger to these bigots.
