I’m sorry, but it really bugs me that the small domino is a fucking war. While the big domino is depicted here as the AI bubble bursting.
At a minimum, it’s a * poor use of the meme *, but really the priorities are just way out of whack.

we are seeing a resurgence of New World Screwworms. We eradicated it in the US in 1966, however, we have since seen a resurgence. Basically we used sterile males to make sure no new worms would be born in the US but thats a big border, so we worked with Mexico and other north and Central American countries to push it down past panama. Unfortunately when republicans find out we are spending money fighting disease in other countries, they think why help them? and kill funding. So now we are going to have to spend a shitload more money to defend our wide ass border, rather than a fraction of the cost defending a natural border.

It was very poorly written. The fact that you (and I) read the article and don’t know what they were intending to convey is telling. I THINK the issue is fragmentation that they mention breifly, but that is probably me bring my previous opinions to the article.

I think FreeCAD has potential. It’s not there yet. I’m trying to learn it but I’m getting a lot of grey in my beard and have been using Solidworks at work so long any new friction is frustrating.
For PDM/PLM. I’ve been looking at this recently. It also is not ready.

Its more work to setup but I am of the opinion parts should have drawings to show critical dimensions. Drawings should have rev blocks describing differences.
There are issues to this approach, but it solves a lot of problems.

I switched to Nobara a couple months ago. My computer is a lot snappier. Overall its great. Some minor difficulties but no show stoppers.
Signal desktop gives me an error that it is keeping credentials in plaintext which is fucked, I tried to get it to not do that but havnt been able to figure out how. (there are tutorials for ubuntu/gnome, but I havnt figured out how to translate those to fedora/kde…
I just started using crow-translate which is amazing, but keep getting a screenshot error message. Something with wayland maybe? again when I search there is a lot of shit about ubuntu/gnome but that doesnt really help.

Risotto isn’t complex per se, but 20-30 minute of stiring/babysitting isn’t exactly easy.
How do kids write? I know I will go back and forth over the same well formed letter to make it look scribbly.
Also more protein in wheat compared to rice. Actually a lot more nutrients in wheat compared to rice.
Beef barley soup is delicious

So don’t attack the pawns, recruit them.

There are plenty of troops that just repair cars. Maybe those cars get used for murder, maybe they don’t. It’s a complex moral problem that is different for everyone at different levels.
By saying fuck the troops, you are falling into the trap the owners want. You are focusing on pawns rather than the kings they want to be.

Choice 1 be dirt poor or join the military
Choice 2 obey orders or get thrown in military jail

Ice cold Barley tea is the best. I sometimes mix barley tea and iced-tea (black tea).

It bugs me that there is this generic description of ‘files’ and I don’t think I’ve heard discussions of what to expect. Funancial records? Client lists? Blackmail material?
We know big banks helped him by not reporting transactions they were legally required to. If the financial records aren’t released it’s bullshit. Always follow the money. Name and shame those who proffited from him.

I had a really good method for helping people figure it out, but it only worked if you didn’t see it coming.

Simple fillets vs these obnoxious complex curves. Yeah I’m right there with you.

yeah, the back end is the scarier part. I don’t think conservapedia actually added that much content, it just copied Wikipedia and edited the parts they cared about. Automating that, while helpful, isn’t that big a deal IMO. Disseminating the resultant bullshit (with a hint of plausibility) is where the nightmares begin.
