  • Probably yes.

I used to work for another office store that has since been absorbed into this one. There was an extreme white supremacist who ran a “church” in the area. My first manager told him we would not make his copies but he could use the self-serve machines. A few of my coworkers did not appreciate this stance and may have taunted him a bit.

A new manager came in and asked him why he was using the self-serve and invited him to use our copy services. Most of the department walked out that day.

The materials were what amounted to white supremacy lightly vailed as religion.

  • 200M spent on alligator Auschwitz and an estimated 450M annual operating cost.

Some googling tells me that an apartment building can cost about 200k/unit (I suspect it could be less). That’s 1000 units. And then imagine what would happen if you put that yearly operating cost into healthcare and other social programs.

They want to build 1000 concentration camps. Florida is working on their second. Texas has one. Other states will certainly follow.

Maybe Newsom should be building homes instead of division.

  • This is my preferred consumption method. Buy a bag of hotdog buns and they have a single purpose, be a fluffy sausage pocket.

    Hotdog buns with:

    • PB & J - too much bread and possibly to sloppy
    • In place of sandwich bread - nice try Satan.

It is a bread product designed with a singular purpose.

A loaf of sandwich bread, that is like the Swiss army knife of bread.

  • 43 year old American who at 10 would ride a bike over a mile to school and spent my summers pretty much going wherever I wanted on my bike or walking. But things have definitely changed.

People have forgotten their own childhood and see kids on their own as troublemakers. Or like in this case, they feel they know better than parents.

We’ve also given up what little walkability we had to wider streets with higher speed limits. The small town where I grew up has significantly more people and more and larger intersections. Many of the roads have also been widened.

Finality, policing has changed. At least where I grew up officers were members of the community. They were there to uphold the law and would rather take you home or talk to your parents than charge or detain you. It would have been national news for a cop to handcuff and detain a 10-14 year old, now it is expected and celebrated. IMO policing is a profession that has lost its humanity. They are enforcers, not peace officers.
