How cool! I had the manga when I was a kid and absolutely adored it. Totally forgot that it existed.

I think Mint is better out of the box than it used to be. I was on it maybe 5 or 6 years ago and had to troubleshoot a few issues, but I just came back to it a few months ago and everything worked flawlessly out of the box.
I’m relatively new to Mint, but I thought that sudo apt update just checked for updates and sudo apt upgrade -y was for actually installing the updates. I don’t see why that would break it though.
The one I have you can set temperature that it heats to and tell it to either hold that temperature or get to it and then it’ll just cool off if you don’t use it. It has more settings but I’ve just had it set to 194 for forever.
I will say that I swear I spent closer to $50-60 for mine but it’s at like $105 on Amazon right now which is absurd. But looking at the price history on camelcamelcamel the price really has climbed a bit over the past few years. It used to drop around $60-70 a bit. Ridiculous how expensive things are getting.
I’ve had a bonavita electric kettle for 5+ years and it’s been great. I just use it for heating up water ~daily and have zero complaints (not sure if there is anything else that you would be looking for an electric kettle to do). I’m pretty sure it was like $50 on Amazon.
I’ve had an Anker 2 port 3A charger for at least 5 years or so and don’t have any complaints about it. I’ve been an Anker fanboy for a while (albeit, I don’t buy a ton of electronics, but when I do need something Anker is my go-to), but I will say that doing some Googling recently it sounds like their quality might be going down. Just something to be aware of; I’ll probably keep buying from them unless I have a bad experience or keep hearing similar things. I’m just not aware of an alternative that’s as good as they have been.
I’ll take another look at it. I had a pihole setup and tried to switch it over when I moved to ATT but couldn’t find any DNS options. After some quick Googling the unanimous answer seemed to be that ATT doesn’t let you. But I’ll look into it again, I would love to get my pihole working again.
I have zero love for ATT but love my fiber plan. I’d like to switch, since they don’t let me change the DNS server, but the plan I had before was awful and my internet dropped all the time.
I think you have to judge a movie based on what it’s meant to be, and for a fun high fantasy jaunt, this was a monumental achievement. IMHO.
I think more people need to understand this.
Very well said.

I agree, I don’t think that CinemaSins was ever really good, but it definitely got worse over time. His content has been criticized to death and there are some good commentary videos covering the issues with his channel. I will plug CinemaWins as a pretty good “counter” channel. I don’t watch it because I’m not really into that kind of content these days, but the videos that I have seen are worthwhile if you’re looking to fill a similar hole.
This isn’t an opinion, this is a fact.
I wouldn’t give it that high of praise, but I went into Honor Among Thieves not expecting anything and thought that it was a lot of fun. It doesn’t do anything exciting but it’s just a fun little flick. I’m not a DnD person, but I also enjoyed the references that I did get (which purely come from being a casual Magic: The Gathering player, so I knew some things from the DnD set that came out the other year).
About half way through Mother/Earthbound Zero on my NES flashcart. I’ll have to pick Earthbound up after. I got about half way through years ago but never finished it.
Most recently finished Crystalis.
In my experience Google is a bit better than DDG. I tried it out a few years ago and often found myself going back to Google for certain searches. Been using DDG again for a few weeks and having a somewhat similar experience.
I agree, but in my experience the focused communities that I liked to browse on Reddit were almost never toxic. The difference may be that I deliberately went to the specific communities that I was interested in; I generally never just browsed Popular, where I'm sure the bulk of the toxicity was.
Unfortunately the communities that I'm interested in have next to no activity here, so I would definitely like to see more users.
Pretty much none of the communities that I used to browse on Reddit are active here, so I wouldn't mind more people here.
Me who spent most of their savings on a house last year: 🙃
In my experience, Instagram has also become the most reliable source for local restaurants randomly being closed (this has happened more often than I would like to discuss post-pandemic) and breweries (i.e. which food truck is at which brewery on any given day).
I have found those to be the only reasons that I ever check Instagram.
You mean 1%?
