5 months agoWould it be much better do you think? I’ve heard others are worse, but I am not sure of them all. I can look into it. I just want people to be able to have open, civil conversations without being silenced by biased mods.
Left Lemmy due to moderators banning people and removing posts that did not align with their political views. Denying users/readers of information is wrong. Creating echochambers is dangerous.

Do they want 37 political deaths (and rising) every year? It sounds so sketchy. How can they be sure she was even the people’s choice?
Yeah I got blocked out of the other post about this for even bringing this up. They said I was spreading misinformation and blocked me so I can’t even respond with more sources or info.
I just found out Lemmy is blocking and removing users for having varied political opinions that don’t line up with their forceful left ideals. So I’m out. This was a waste of time.

21·5 months agoI’d go waaaay back and try to find the Ancient Civillizations. Including and l predating the Sumerians. I’d love to see what they were like, how similar to us now, and how they were better.
I’d also like to spend a night in 80s goth scene London.
Also I’d wanna go back and see some BIG TREES.

1312·5 months agoThis is such an absurd “article”. Picking out a couple of comments from the internet to literally brew conflict for clicks is not sound journalism.
You guys seem to love living in an echochamber. Lemmy really has become very unwelcoming to anyone centrally aligned or learning about the world.
2·6 months agoMy husband said pretty much the same thing. We can only buy a house with VA assistance as well and it is so expensive here around his home town. Hopefully we can move interstate in the future. Around where he was stationed we could get a big old family house in a nice area for $100k less. For however long that lasts.
Thank you so much for commenting this. I thought I was going crazy. World News seems to be the culprit. It isn’t fair to the users to deny information. I think I’m going to leave, it is too disturbing. I don’t need this.
