A lot of Trump voters vote for Trump and then leave the rest of the ballot blank. My ballot was 74 pages and Texas eliminated party line voting.

I voted yesterday in a packed blue district. It was crowded, which is good, but there was a notable absence of young voters, which is bad. Hopefully, this just means that experienced voters are more likely to vote on the first day of early voting and first time voters can be convinced to go to the polls before or on election day.

It’s not that grey. It is expressly illegal to pay someone to register to vote and a lottery prize is specifically called out in the statute as a forbidden form of compensation. It is a felony and punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

What CAH is doing is a grey area, paying people to create a voting plan isn’t mentioned in the law so it skirts around the legality of it. This should probably also be illegal as a form of voter compensation but may require the law to be amended.

Remember, going negative is an effort to suppress turnout for the opposition. Trump voters are much more likely to wait until election day to vote, she gets extra time to convince them to just stay home, to not overcome everyday obstacles or just focus on other things.

If thinking about Trumps failing mental health makes a potential Trump voter uncomfortable, they might just be a little too busy or too tired or too stressed out about other things to deal with the cognitive dissonance of going to the polls to choose him.

It doesn’t need to work on a lot of people, but shaving off a fractional percent in key states could make a big difference.

I really, really dislike social situations that don’t have formal structure to them. Professionally I can talk to strangers no problem, because roles and expectations are set, similarly I can go to a tabletop gaming convention and play games with people and it’s fine.
