  • Don’t do that, just quietly block the noise as much as possible. I’ve now blocked any and all politically-based instances and magazines because getting too caught into politics, just makes you all around feel miserable about everything.

And the people who’re so gung-ho on hating Nintendo, are the kinds of people that want you to bathe in that kind of misery. It must be taxing and exhausting to be an activist all of the time. Makes me wonder how they manage to sleep at night, if any. There are bigger things going on in the world and hating a video game company is the least of those things to get upset over in comparison.

That’s what happens when people who’re so defeatist from making a better change in the world do, they just pick on smaller frivolous things and tell everyone to hate on that just to cope because they’re simply too powerless to do anything about the bigger things.

  • That doesn’t bother me. What made me gravitate to Diablo was how they did the story. The plot of evil vs good and angels vs demons in a eternal conflict is cliche and overdone. But I liked how Blizzard handled it and I’ve been glued to it for a while. Mephisto is my favorite character overall and damn they’re having an expansion coming soon, that revolves around him, so my temptation will be even greater.

So no it doesn’t bother me that it’s “too easy” or “almost impossible to die”, because my idea of fun is not to have a very frustrating experience.

  • HIFI WALKER H2-128GB (or H2 Touch): This is perhaps the best match for your request. It features a, 2.4-inch screen, physical buttons for navigation, Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless headphones, and supports up to 512GB (or sometimes 1TB) MicroSD cards. It is known for high-resolution audio support (DSD, FLAC).

Surfans F20 HiFi MP3 Player: Similar to the HiFi Walker, the Surfans F20 offers a sturdy design, scroll wheel, and physical buttons. It supports up to 512GB SD cards and features Bluetooth 5.2.

Sony NW-ZX707 Walkman (64GB Internal + SD Card): While pricier, this Android-based DAP features a 5-inch touch screen, but crucially retains physical side buttons for volume and playback control. It supports MicroSDXC cards for massive storage expansion. Modded Apple iPod Classic (7th Gen): These modified classics, often sold on eBay, feature SSD storage upgrades up to 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB, and have been updated to include Bluetooth functionality and a USB-C port.

MECHEN H1 Pro / MECHEN M30: These budget-friendly options offer Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and support for up to 512GB MicroSD cards.

  • So this account is not my first rodeo. I’ve been off and on the fediverse.

I think it’s been an interesting experience. I believe there’s still more to go and be done 3 years in. I think there should be more tools available to deal with assholes than hoping and praying moderators deal with it, considering how moderators operate more on a “when I have the time to” than “I need to do this for the sake of the community I’m upholding the values of”.

Mastodon didn’t stick for me, it was too decentralized for my tastes. I haven’t tried anything else because if I didn’t like X/Instagram for example, I’m not going to like their Fediverse versions either because they’re not my platforms of choice.

  • Disney+ - During Black Friday when they give out $5 a month for a year offers only. SiriusXM - Only when they offer $5 a month for a year deals. Netflix - Base plan only and if you’ve figured a workaround to watch it without ads. Tello - No-contract based phone plans for dirt cheap. Even better than Mint Mobile. ProtonVPN

The trick is to scour for deals and offers. Never pay full regular price for something and always cancel a few days before the due date so you’re not charged the full amount once the deal ends.

  • My thing with FFXIV is that, so much has blown by me, that just trying to get into it now is so overwhelming. There was a friend I knew that was into FFXIV and he was one of those people that spoke about it like it is his second language. He had his friends too that were into it and it was like they’ve built this in-depth chemistry through FFXIV and I even watched some of his livestreams of it.

But anytime I tried playing FFXIV, I really stuck out with this empty feeling because I never had that.

  • Sorry you’ve been through that.

I’ve about given up on chasing multiplayer, even including friends. It never fails. Because, there would be times some friends I know are playing a multiplayer game that is big and they’re all involved and I want to be involved. Then by the time I get it, they’ve moved on to something else and it would be a chore to have tried and get them to come back to the game I just got so we can have some of our memories poured into it.

It would never happen, they’ve grounded their footing into that next game and I would be a little begrudged and eventually I’d get that game, only for the cycle to repeat.

So, I’ve stopped doing that. Now I have a bunch of all of these games that were fun to have played with people on, just sitting and collecting dust because I tried playing with people I know and cared about. Now most of them play FFXIV, Escape from Tarkov or some other MMO-like game and they know I won’t go there to them because I’m not a MMO player, but I was always open to play something else that was multiplayer, but they never bit.
