  • That’s what I thought, but when I talk to these sick people they say they “like” the loud, horrible, scary, obnoxious sound. They do it because they feel pleasure with the sound itself.

If it was true, they would do it even if they were alone. They would drive to the middle of nowhere to enjoy their horrible sound without other noise. But they only do it in heavily populated areas. Almost if they are really just fucking assholes wanting attention.

What is the truth? I guess we’ll never know. I can only hope for the law to be changed.

But unlike you, I wish no harm to the machines. Only to the drivers. Machines are useful tools, even if loud. The drivers should lose the right to drive. If you remove their tool they will find another one to misuse.

The drivers are the problems, the criminals. Not the tool they use to commit crime.

  • Why the down votes?

A company removed your freedom, their founder even famously saying that consumer don’t know what they want but apple does, knowingly give up all their rights to a corporation when there are alternatives, declare that they trust the corporation, accept when the corporation forbids them from giving anyone else money, and now they are going to cry when the corporation fucks them? Like it did several times in the past and yet they remained loyal?

Apple users are insane… The only reason to use android is because it’s the only current viable alternative to apple. But they use their stuff out of some weird masochistic choice, and then cries when their daddy beats them.

They 100% deserve what they got while they keep rewarding apple for their evil behaviour.

And if I ever give Google money, I 100% deserve to get fucked while using it too. And it would be stupid to expect anything else.

  • It’s not the reliability of the sources. It’s the obsession. Even the website you complain about have non Chinese content. But you are 100% constant anti China posts.

China does a lot of bad stuff. Every country does. But why do you obsess with them so much?

I would really like to know. Because with no explanation it either looks like you’re being paid by an enemy of China like the US or that something bad happened to you and you need to seek help because you got some deep trauma.

I don’t think Lemmy is big enough for the US to pay someone to do propaganda. So it looks really odd.

  • That loud cars not only exist, but there are actually more of them than in 3rd world countries. That it’s a “culture” here, and people actually use their excess money to make cars louder, bigger and more dangerous to everyone else (not the driver, he pays extra for his safety).

Coming from a 3rd world country to Australia it was one of my biggest disappointments. I thought we had loud cars because we we’re “uncivilised” or didn’t have the money to fix them. I was so wrong…

There are many others, but I guess this was the biggest illusion I had about first world countries.

I know there are other options. It was just hypothetical.

But no way. Just building the prusa mini was way harder than I thought. Took me days and I messed up many things. I wouldn’t try something even harder. Not that I have any way of having a 3d printer anymore… I’m trying to sell my prusa because of that. But I’ll stop trying to convince people to buy prusa.

  • There’s the choice of not selling this. It’s not like it will be crucial to them.

I’m sure there are a lot of areas in spying software, for instance, that israel offer unique and lucrative products. But I have the choice to invest on something else instead.

We’re talking about genocidal maniacs here. There’s not a lot of excuses to support them.

The vast majority of their population doesn’t care about the genocide, the vast majority served in the military, there are almost no civilians in that invasion.

Why would you, if you have any ethics, partner with people with a massive chance of being pro genocide unless there is no other option in the world?

Also if it’s money going to their economy, to be converted directly into dead bodies.

I had noticed how their ethical standard seemed to be going down from the kind of spam from them I’ve been getting. But I held then to such high regard for their old open source contributions that I refused to believe.

Thanks a lot for that into. I think I’m convinced now. No one with any ethics would partner with any Israeli company unless there was literally no other choice in the world.

    I’d rather use proprietary products.

  • Seems similar to how it used to be many years ago. I don’t like gestures in any software, but I remember not disliking it that much with Sailfish.

How is the camera, GPS and general power of the phone? It seems very low budget, specially for the price. But I understand we have to pay extra for the freedom. I just worry if it’s really manageable for nowadays. It seems as bad as my very old Xperia I tried with Sailfish.

I would probably get one of the newer compatible Xperias instead. But it would be better getting something directly from them.

  • Yeah, I don’t know. I know that there are softwares specific for invoicing but I’ve never used one, nor did I use to send too many invoices. Most of the time I was an employee, doing some other freelances, so it wasn’t too much to keep track.

I used Inkscape because I was more used to it, working with graphics most of my life. LibreOffice is probably easier. But I don’t know how that’s supposed to be done with proprietary softwares either.

Hopefully someone with more experience on this can help him.
