If it’s any consolation, my printer’s about as old and Linux Mint seemed to just recognise it the moment I turned the printer off and on again. Might be one thing to cross off the list quickly!!

15·5 months agoIt may not even be them being cheap, just that most people/organisations not directly tech-focused simply aren’t inclined to update software. Like wearing clothing until it starts to fall apart. That trend is another nail in the coffin

My PC turns 8 in August, if it weren’t for the power supply dying in an unfortunate autoclicker accident then all of its original parts would still have been in there after all this time. Switching to Linux made it almost feel new again after all this time having it
