I can’t believe people buy cheap trash that would be sold on Temu.
But here we are, people buy cheap ass trash off Temu. If China started picking through the trash we shipped them and sold it back to us on a site like Temu, something tells me people would still buy it.
I installed the app, did initial setup, then forced it to never update, shut off internet access, and disabled notifications. Still seeing the discount nearly 3 years later.
In the last 6 months:
I don’t want, or need, this add-on garbage.
MS PowerToys has a Search feature that works like Mac Finder called PowerToys Run… And it works as you’d expect it. I’ve largely started using that over the standard windows search, and the difference is hitting win + space
(default: alt + space
) instead of win
before typing my search.
“Go commit a hate crime! And one of you is definitely going to escalate beyond burning and we won’t be there to support you when you commits physical violence to a member of the LGBTQ+ community!”
Surprise! You’ve been acquired by Amazon!
OP mentioned this also happened outside in the parking lot and was implying active blocking.
There’s ways for stores to work with telecoms to get service broadcast inside the warehouse/building as well to get around the natural passive blocking from the building materials.
I was well aware of the difference between active and passive blocking.
This is more likely a coverage issue than Walmart illegally blocking wireless signals (per to FCC regulations).
Report the coverage issue to Verizon and your local Walmart. Both of which will want to increase coverage of where people are gathering. This is because if bad coverage areas are in places where people gather this will cause affected people to switch services or stop going to those gathering areas if there’s alternatives.
Firefox + “I Still Don’t Care About Cookies” extension makes post GDPR UX shenanigans so much better.
I just wish it was an either/or situation.
I don’t always need my lawn mower/blower/weed trimmer on batteries. I wish I could easily plug them in when doing light dut work close to the house. But then they couldn’t tie me into their battery ecosystem as easily.
But they’re a news junkie!
So do you like Biden for this, since you’ve been blindly critical of Biden for “supporting genocide”? Since this is Biden escalating repercussions to Israel, this is a good thing in your eyes, right?
Or are you posting this because Israel is now being crticial of Biden and any critical message about Biden is OK with you?
Do one of the following:
I’d personally use option 1, but you do you.
This is where all of you are mistaken.
These are public service positions, not professions. Thinking of these as professions only encourages entitlement, power, and greed.
There’s one feature that win11 has over win10 that I wish was there, and that’s the default layout manager is superior to windows 10’s, and less fidgety and better hotkeys than what’s offered with Power Toys. Especially vertical monitor support, which win10s layout manager never got an update for. And as a Tie-Fighter monitor setup user (4k portrait, WQHD landscape, 4k portrait) having an effective layout manager is crucial.
However, there’s 3rdParty layout managers that are even better than the win11 implementation. Butt to be able to get the default support of an effective layout manager is quite nice.
That said, that’s the only feature I really like aside from some nominal improvements/optimizations to background systems (network stack, Bluetooth management, “game mode”) and services. That’s not enough for me to transition when there’s so many other things that were done to make it a worse experince.
I’m excited to transition my personal desktop to PopOS once win10 reaches EoL. Maybe Valve will drop their latest SteamOS in time for the Win10 EoL hoping to attract all those gamers on non-TPM 2.0 supported systems that are still great gaming rigs. I know I’d at least give it a go.
I don’t know what show you watched, but the Fallout show was laden with comedy in nearly every scene. It heavily leans on dark comedy and the perils & shittiness of humanity with random touches of the absurd (or oddball as you put it). With my experince of the Fallout franchise and spending countless hours reading terminals, listening to the recordings, talking to the denziens of the world in all the fallout games since FO1 except for 76, I thought they did an excellent job capturing the tone of the universe.
My biggest complaint is that they could have done a couple more episodes to flesh out some details. However that has more to do with how shows now seem to have a ~8 episode format instead of the ~12 episode format (or even ~22 format of old. Who remebers having all those Supernatural epps?!) than the show itself. Most newer streaming shows leave me with this gripe. This gripe is likely the same reason why you felt that the coverage of BoS, NCR, and Shady Sands was a little flat/copouty.
This is some serious r/iamverysmart over simplicity. Nothing I said was shame mate.
I like living without stinking to high hell, having teeth that aren’t rotting and infected, and not being covered in rashes and fungal growth because I am maintaining personal hygiene.
I love having friends. They bring me so much joy, happiness, shared interests, and introducing me to activities I enjoy.
Listening and not being constantly stuck in my mind allows me to build my knowledge and wisdom instead of some neckbeard elitist iamverysmart intern hellion.
I don’t mask anymore, but I’m also not going to be some shitstain that believes they’re the next “great” just because I am not nerutypical and have a false belief that the greats are-just-like-me because I’m neurodivergent.
Some of that “weak stuff” includes things like:
ADHD is a fucking struggle mate. And your advice is oblivious to the realities of the struggles and life.
