You can get a huge range of beautiful dice in all sizes, a nice deck of cards, a variety of tokens and you can skip miniatures to invest in bits that are more flexible. Speaking of flexibility, a big ebook reader allows you to enjoy tons of published games and only get physical box sets or books if you really desire them as artifacts. Another big advantage is that you can spend your money slowly and just enjoy what you have first.

Where Apple has complied with no malice, consumers have benefited. No legislation can be perfect, specially when corporations cling to malicious compliance, but the DMA can be better for everyone, including Apple. They’re just favouring much more their relationship with investors than with developers and their customers. This makes the ecosystem worse and worse, doesn’t matter if it’s closed or open.
I’m more worried about jobs getting nuked no matter whatever AGI turns out to be. It can be vapourware and still the capitalist cult will sacrifice labour on that altar.
