Despite being someone who is a huge SUV fan and who adores off road cars such as G class, Toyota Land Cruiser, Ineos grenadier, I genuinely hate to see them as “cars for shopping” in the city driven by women with blonde hair who has no idea what a differential is. SUVs belong to off road or long trips, not to cities where they have the highest fuel consumption.
PS: tbh, cars don’t really belong to cities anyways
They should be removed both from EU and NATO.
What other middle eastern country is better in terms of LGBTI rights than Israel? Lgbti rights are not ideal there but they allow registered partnerships and even recognize same sex marriages performed elsewhere. In addition, Tel Aviv is one of the most gay-friendly cities in the world with some additional rights for LGBTI people.
I agree that we have seen genocide happening to larger groups than 18.7% but those 18.7% in arabs are nowhere near genocide. Arabs with Israeli citizenship have the same rights as Jews living there. They are members of the supreme court, they have a political party, etc.
I have checked the article and I agree it points out some mistakes made by Israel towards Palestinians but those actions cannot be considered apartheid. Yes, they illegally build settlements in an undisputed land but that’s not apartheid.
Honestly it’s funny that you say I am wrong and pro-american but at the same time you are the one supporting terrorism and spreading complete bullshit. I don’t know who of us should educate themselves on the subject.
Can I ask you 2 simple questions?
Despite Hungary being called a democracy, Orban is slowly but surely doing everything to remain in power for indefinitely long. Hungary is also part of the EU and Nato but in the reality the government supports russia.
It’s obvious that hamas was hiding there. I am not even mentioning how incorrect it is that Israel does genocide.
Obviously, it would be absolutely awesome to have a peace but firstly we need all the sides to agree on that. With Hamas present, neither Israelis/Palestinians will accept a deal.
Israel never killed 2 million palestinians. The number is far lower. Stop spreading bullshit.
Population in Gaza went up throughout the time. It’s literally one of the most densely populated areas in the world (https://www.cia.gov/the-world-factbook/countries/gaza-strip/).
Furthermore, Gaza is not Israel’s open air prison and it was Hamas who broke the ceasefire.
I honestly see no reason in this discussion when you keep inventing random facts and when you support terrorist organizations. This is truly unbelievable.
18.7% of the population is a considerable amount of people. In the country I live in, the biggest “minority” is less than 7%.
The apartheid is debatable though. I know that European commission stated that Israel is not an apartheid regime. Israeli judiciary also does not say that the country is apartheid.
However, the Supreme court of Israel and UN decided that Israel illegally occupies land in the west bank, so there cannot be an excuse/counter argument for that.
may I ask what you mean by LGBTI+ rights? If I remember correctly, Israel is quite good in these terms (Not as good as some eňEuropean countries but far better than rest of middle east)
Not every palestinian is terrorist, I agree. So now let’s divide people into 2 categories: West bank inhabitants and Gaza inhabitants.
Hamas in Gaza made the population so radical that both egypt and israel decided to close the borders. They (at least Egypt) would not do it if the population was not so radical.
In the West Bank, people are less radical but still it’s not ideal.
I know that for genocide you don’t have to kill the whole population. Issue is that during the genocide, population goes down. During holocaust, 1/3 of the jews were killed and the population of jews was 30% smaller at the end of the genocide. This is not happening with Palestinians as their population literally doubled and there has never been a significant dip in their numbers. So no, Israel is not a genocidal state.
In the second paragraph you are finding excuses for Palestine for fighting genocide (why by the way doesn’t exist). Hamas is a terrorist organisation which does not care about Palestine at all. They are only capable of killing Jews, tying opposition to cars and dragging them around. They were also the ones who broke the ceasefire and made the population of Gaza so radical that no one wants to have anything with them. Even PLO rather stays away from Gaza. I am honestly shocked how can you support terrorism and blame Israel for everything. You also ignore the fact that Hamas is not Palestine.
i would rather like a complete idiot than causing a death
Israel is a democratic country (check democracy index) and there is a freedom of religion. 18.7% of population are Muslim, so Israel is definitely not against Islam. The comparison to Nazis is literally funny because Arab people (usually Muslims) have exactly the same rights as Jews. In addition, Israel is not an apartheid state. Some argue they perform apartheid on the Palestinian people but those under a different administration. By this logic, every state can be considered apartheid because citizens of that state have in that state more rights than non-citizens. That’s standard.
Mind showing any sources about the power plant? Wikipedia was reporting that all 4 generators were fine.
Regarding the power plant: it has 4 operational units but ran out of fuel as it was diesel powered. I have seen some information that Hamas has diesel as one of its resources but that was only reported by an Israeli media, hence it cannot be trusted.
It is debatable whether they would go “full holocaust” on Gaza without international pressure. However, I personally know some people who would support that and also certain right-wing parties want a complete siege of Palestine. I strongly disagree with this rhetoric. On the other hand, some political subjects support negotiations.
I would bet the fights will continue after. Also, Israel has not done ethnic cleansing in Gaza.
Edit: Though I agree that in certain cases (e.g. 1948), they didn’t deal either with the situation well
Not necessarily. There were needed controls from Israeli side to ensure as little weapons get there as possible. That’s not blockade. That’s an attempt to prevent a terrorist organization to gain way too much power.
Yes, Hamas was democratically elected 18 years ago. Since there, there were no elections. Name any democratic country which has elections once in 18 years or so. Furthermore, the fact they were democratically elected does not give them right to be terrorists. That’s like with communists: the fact they were elected once does not mean that everyone will want them forever. That’s not how democracy works mate.
This is a complete nonsense. If Israel wanted, they could have starved Gaza far sooner and would not play with them for 80 years.
In addition, we can theoretically consider Israel the biggest Gaza supporters because they give them electricity and water for free. No Arab country does that.
I am also quite surprised that Fatah supports the party which some years ago tied Fatah members to cars and dragged them across streets.
