4·8 months agoGo read All Quiet on the Western Front it really showcases the real purpose of military training (no critical thinking, just obey) which hasn’t changed a lot since then.
Subway is 100% fine, also needed for accessibility for people who can’t drive a bicycle. It’s the cars which suck.

2·8 months agoWhere I live (Slovakia) the line I use to get to school has been here since 1880ish. SINCE 1907 it rides 120km/h it hasn’t sped up for 118 years LOL.

3·8 months agoYes, I agree, that’s exactly why I think we should focus more on building safe infrastructure, because if it isn’t safe enough to ride without a helmet it never will become used as mass method of transportation.

18·8 months agoIn the Netherlands 96% of the people don’t use helmets while their injuries are very low. It’s about the infrastructure mentality. Like you wouldn’t take a helmet for walking? It’s the same for them.
