I’m nowhere near an expert, but it was so easy to root/flash my Pixel 7 Pro (especially with this tool: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/pixelflasher-for-google-pixel-7-pro-support-thread.4505287/), that I’ll probably stick with Pixels for awhile?
Un- and re- installed the app. Multiple accounts/instances now working! 👍 😎
It’s up to date, but I can’t add my other instances. That’s a deal breaker for now.

I laughed at your “…she doesn’t want to install another app…”. I have a close friend that told me the same thing.
I was able to convince my sister to install Signal so that we could more securely send financial receipts back and forth, etc.
More than one of you in this thread have mentioned Matrix. I realized I signed up for it during the Great Migration about 3 weeks ago, but I haven’t spent any time there yet. How is it the same/different/better than whatever else? Curious. (I suppose Google might be my friend in this situation.)
Is she looking for an “official” app–not realizing there isn’t such a thing? That they all have different names and are so new that they all have different levels of functionality?
And that Lemmy.world is so slammed with new users that most of the apps don’t seem to be working properly? ☺️
