Anyone who believes the US will see another legitimate democratic election is fooling themselves.

American ingenuity, it’s not corruption when a private company does it for political favors!

What do you want the government to pay people to do stuff that benefits the population? When a private sector can remove all the guardrails and outsource labor, ludicrous.

I believe those were the same words uttered by half of Americans who chose not to vote last time round.

      I don’t like it either. But …

Third-Party Auditing: Incorporating rigorous, industry-leading third-party auditing standards to verify election integrity at every step."

… does sound like a good step. Give NPR/researchers access and only run audited code. It’s what we’d ask of Republicans if Democrats owned the company.

      I’d still prefer open source.

They’re not talking third-party as in political party. Third-party just references an outside individual or group they don’t directly control. The third-party auditor won’t be an independent third-party. It will 100% be a GOP-aligned group.

It doesn’t even need to be “aligned”. I remember the savings and loan debacle.

And now that the shithead cheaters OWN THE VOTING MACHINES I’m sure they will suddenly be saying they’re the most trustworthy things ever.

Reminder: check your voting results frequently when you vote next

The new owner, Scott Leiendecker — a former Republican election director from St. Louis and founder of the tech company KNOWiNK — says his goal is to rebuild confidence in America’s voting process through transparency and paper-based security.

    Thank goodness.

Is that paper 100% untouched by machines? Is it manually counted by multiple people of opposing parties?

If no to either, then it’s untrustworthy.
