I started posting on 4chan in 2005 😏 my favorite communities on reddit were little isolated bubbles of 4chan refugees. Mainstream reddit culture was pretty bad, and 4chan got overrun by maga weirdos in 2016. So far Lemmy seems like mostly the worst parts of reddit with a few of the good parts. It feels like the default subs, just slower.
4channers don’t get to call the culture of anything bad. 4chan culture was always bad and the far right were the vast majority of the site long before 2016.
