The top lawyer for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Minnesota left the agency in recent days, exiting as a crush of litigation stemming from the immigration crackdown in the state has overwhelmed the court system.

The lawyer, Jim Stolley, the outgoing chief counsel for ICE in the state, has not publicly addressed the circumstances of his departure. Starting this week, emails sent to his government account generated an automated response noting that he had “retired from public service.” …

    Maybe the government will be appointed a lawyer who will do their best but defend the government with limited resources, resulting in wins for We the People over the fascists run by an incompetent presidential administration.

      If they’re checking resumes for this position as closely as they’re checking them for the armed bullies, maybe I could get the job with 0 legal experience and lose a lot of cases.

      Nah they’ll just keep ppl in detention until their cases finally get heard so our for profit prison complex can keep making the rich richer. It’s as much a wealth transfer scheme as it is a genocidal one
