I made a trip at the end of February to a friend’s birthday party in Saskatoon. One of the most amazing things I heard was flocks of birds chirping. Living in the south end of Winnipeg I haven’t seen or heard a bird this whole winter … and that’s terrifying.

I remember going on road trips as a kid and the windshield and grill of the car would get hammered with bugs during the summer. Now it’s so rare to see a bug splat on the windshield that it’s conversation worthy when it happens.

It is very noticeable barley get bugs on the vehicle anymore.
