The forty-fourth president’s library dedication speech was a powerful explication of liberal patriotism—and a much-needed repudiation of the Trump-Vance fascist variant.

I sure hope we have a country after these fucking morons are done with it. Unfortunately, even if Donvict exits the stage and the Democrats get some modicum of power back, we have several problems:

One is that we are still neck deep in the kinds of morons and racists that went for “maga” (sigh: baby word).

The other is that even when Democrats allegedly have a “supermajority”, some assholes have to play the role of “independent”, meaning vainglorious jerkoffs that want to make themselves the center of attention.

Yes like the brain damaged guy from PA…

But let’s not forget, the Supreme Court is going to remain stacked for decades.

So they will always have that tool to pull out of their box any time they are unhappy with any little thing.

Also, yeah, even if the Democrats were to get all motivated in order to stack the courts and unscrew the ridiculously overly conservative court that is wildly out of step with the American people…you just know some little backstabbing asshole “independent” pretending to be the fucking Tone Police for everyone would step out of line to stop it.

And then act like they are somehow so very principled and a “voice of common sense” or whatever the fuck. Probably even write a book about what a hero they are for being a moderate and go on a book tour.

even if we fixed those problems we’re still perpetually sliding further into oligarchy. we have to bring an end to the current top down hierarchical economic system that creates billionaires, and get money out of politics. any achievements short of that is a bandaid that will eventually get peeled off by some rich cunt trying to make a few extra bucks.

Words alone do nothing to counteract the influence of the Heritage Foundation and the billionaire backers of the Republican Party that have been emboldened to invest further resources into buying future elections to entrench their backwards vision of American society.
