It’s just a high concentration of sugar dissolved in water. Not used in food really unless you need to sweeten some cold tea for some southerners, i guess. Very commonly used to make alcoholic mixed drinks though.

I didn’t read Animal Farm in school but i did really enjoy it as an adult. Social commentary aside, i love the way Orwell tells a story. Even though you know the characters are doomed you can’t help but root for them and have hope they’ll be okay or even win in the end. Which of course makes the revelations all the more heartbreaking.
To add to that. A popular recess game among grade schoolers (like 10 year olds!) was Smear the Queer. I can’t remember the rules exactly but i think it was essentially tag but rougher.
Your wish is granted. Here is a box of extra absorbent adult diapers.
Water, arguably the most important thing for sustaining life, just falls from the sky.
I teared up big time at the end when Grace realizes what’s happened to the astrophage and has to make that discission. Easily an all time favorite.
Disagree. I like having the screen for Android auto with music, podcasts, and especially gps. I do hate digital buttons when they aren’t necessary but i like having the big main display.
You just wanted to show off your sick classic ride. And I for one need to see the outside now.
I used to play back when i sort of had money like a decade ago. I played Tyranids. The great hunger will one day consume all the space boys.
I ignored the books because i thought it was silly to read a novelisation of a battle of the game i played with my tiny plastic dolls. Boy was i wrong!
I started the Heresy series a couple months ago. I’m on book 5 now and have also dipped into Gaunts Ghosts. They’re freaking fantastic and well written. They have AWESOME battle scenes as well as compelling narratives.
Also of course the space fascism satire of it all. I love that the Astartes, these giant macho men practically fall to their knees weeping at the sight of their primarchs. Or Himself forbid they witness the Emperor Lol. And I can’t help but think of their hierarchy as the Invader Zim Aliens’. Where they pick the tallest to lead regardless of anything else.
Book 2 of the Powder Mage trilogy by Brian McClellan. Two systems of magic, black powder rifles, regicide, gods. Can’t put it down.
Make sure to read Secret History. It’s pretty short but really really good. Im not sure where would be the best point to put it but i read it after all the Mist Born books and Rhythm of War. Which i think is later than intended but it still felt right.
