The descendents of the grand historian still making themselves as popular with authority as always
They are sentient beings and they know they are slaves.
I recently tried to explain to Lemmy that non-white working class voters see their social program as weird and off putting. I was downvoted to oblivion just for honestly relating an opinion from people these chronically online “allies” would never hear from, because they simply don’t associate with seamstresses/fruit packers/construction site crossing guards etc. Not to mention the majority of these folks can’t speak any language but English.
Tell my Chilean wife how she is going to make more money tomorrow than she did today and she will listen. Tell her she is a bigot because she believes that it takes more than “feeling like” a women to actually “be” a woman and she will stop listening. That is what just happened here.
I am from a different cultural context than her and I tend to believe what the people who study these issues have to say ie: gender affirming care saves lives. But to say that this one issue determines a persons entry or exclusion from our ever shrinking tent is political suicide, no matter how much we might wish that wasn’t the case.
No one wants to hear this, but it’s pretty much only educated white and black folks that believe in the social program that has been floated by the democrats the last few elections. The country is a lot more diverse than that and South Asian, East Asian and Latino folks are largely what this site would call bigots.
The fact that you said fortnight implies that you don’t truly understand the animus of rural america
Looks to me like it’s completely the opposite energy, that is self aware and self deprecating.
I am not American, but I think my statement can be said to be true of the US, UK, France, Canada, Spain and Italy at the very least since these are countries whose recent elections I have followed a bit.
All cars are death machines
In my experience the only thing most people take from this sort of article is that they should not be asked to make any changes to their own lives

George Bush, great president, or the greatest president?
Canada has a law to this effect called the Clarity Act to make sure that Quebec never votes for independence by a margin like this.
That word sounds like someone was found innocent of a crime on account of a shoe
I will go ahead and be the only person to honestly engage with the terms of your question.
There is a movement that started a long time ago and continues today to “domesticate” boys. Boys are invariably more disobedient in controlled classrooms and group activities and so they need to be “broken in” and taught how to conform to the requirements of modern life and education. Girls tend to fit into this structure more easily as can be attested by the higher educational outcomes among women in countries that allow them to achieve it.
With this in mind there is a lot of resentment against this “breaking in” process. This metastasizes when boys hear all about how “toxic” they are by virtue of how they were born, how much more trouble they are to deal with etc. The emotional response is to resist all attempts to demasculinize them, even in the case of something as inconsequential as bathroom etiquette.
This is an honest representation of the perspective in question. Don’t get all passed off at me for being capable of presenting it.
What about Soft Drink?
