On a human timescale? No.
On a cosmic timescale? Hell yeah.
I havent seen the Huffington Post website in years. Clicked on this to see the video. About 20 seconds of the video, 30 seconds of ads, another 20 second clip. More ads.
At least the article isnt paywalled. Ill give them that.
When you help a campaign based on a race to the bottom, always expect to be a casualty on the way down.
Thats a pretty weak argument my dude.
Who chopped the head off Maine?
Im sitting here in Canada just learning these exist in the first place.
We have this in Canada too. I see them littered all over the place. Its not terribly effective.
I own an EV. Whats to ‘crawl back to’? The constant maintenance costs? The expensive fuel? The shittier driving experience? The worse noise and vibration?
Nah, bruh. Im good. I will never go back to ICE.
People who just want to listen to old school FM radio.
Libertarianism as a philosophy may not be. Libertarian as a modern political entity surely is.
Im not a fan of either, but you have to realize at this point the name has been hijacked by the far right chuds of the world.
How mildly opinionated of you.
Windows is designed for the average user and does very well in that regard. It prevents people with very little computer knowledge from totally messing things up.
I wasnt young when it came out. Joke’s on you.
Ah, I must have been thinking renewables was the majority. I used to live there but its been a while!
Maine is primarily hydro so half by wind is an odd goal for that state. Boosting wind production is good and theres lots of it there, but its not like theyre burning mostly coal or anything.
Same in Canada. Every year we hear of at least one province debating privatizing healthcare as though thats gonna fix our problems and not just make it exponentially worse.
Just a select few tattoos with certain…uh…symbols.
Im glad you pointed out the algorithm thing. Seems like people get fed up with social media platforms like X(?) and Reddit and then come to alternatives demanding the same features that, at least in part, led to them being fed up in the first place.
I actually disagree with OPs assertion that these federated platforms are ‘almost as good’. Theyre better. More features doesnt mean a better platform and in my opinion often makes them worse.
I bought a simple spin bike thirdhand. Guy who owned it before me got it from a gym. You twist a knob and it increases pressure on a leather brake. Its built like a tank.
Its great and like you say, if I wanted I could just look up spin videos on youtube for free.
Why would I bother with a Peloton?
