To an extent this is my marriage. My wife and I both own our own companies. Mine is much more established and therefore offers me some leeway on my in office time (I’m an accountant). Agreed. I spent nearly $12k last year and I might see 3 of it back. For clarification we pulled out youngest son out of daycare in August or September. Not all of the 12k was his costs but most of it was (probably around 10k-10.5k) it was near $1300 a month when we pulled him out after a large increase after the summer months.

Volition has been a long standing company with a slew of awesome games. They did a ton with THQ like 20 years ago that were amazing.

Summoner is one of my favorite games to date. It didn’t age well, but the story was amazing.

The descent games were intense as well.

As for saints row, I beat 1-3. The storyline to the first was unmatched by any GTA storyline. It was a shame to see them slink away from the original due to ridicule of being a “GTA clone.” The story was compelling, the voice acting outside of johnny gat was decent. The multiplayer experience offered far more than anything GTA had at the time. The best we got for GTA was in 2008 when they released their free roam multiplayer with GTA 4. By then saints row 2 had full coop.

Have to hit the matinees. I take my son to a nearby movie theatre that has a full bar/menu and the tickets for he and I to go are around or under $20 for both of us. It’s like $9.25 per person.

Agreed. On top of this I noticed a pretty hard decline in Reddit once the CCP bought a portion of reddit. Keeping business out of Lemmy will keep it honest for sure.
