1980 all over again
Pre code movies are amazing. My mom watches a ton of them on YouTube, and I’ll watch a lot of the time, too. They’re genuinely hilarious to watch a lot of the time, because they showcase just how much hasn’t changed. You feel like, because of media, we practically invented a lot of stuff in the last generation or two, only to watch Mae west talk about mirrors on her ceiling or Marlene Dietrich dress in dress.
May you be constantly thirsty, but well hydrated all day.
you do not matter
You have no idea how much I needed to hear that right now
Should I Google otherkin? I don’t mind learning about other people’s kinks, but I recently saw the pictures of the dude who finished in a shoe box every time, and now I’m more careful with what I search all willy nilly.
I had one! My dad got it at a flea market, and all my friends thought we were rich. Lmao
My older brother had one of these. I used to play a bunch of games we got in cereal boxes with it. Discs were the size of gamecube games, and completely slipped off the disc tray and he’d have to disassemble it to get them out for me. Excellent older brother behavior, until he finally forbid from putting any more shitty cap’n crunch branded video games in his computer. Lol. Controller was good though, iirc
Edit:
Upon googling for nostalgia’s sake, I’m mistaken. It wasn’t this one. This is specifically for N64, ours was on a pc. Super similar to this one, but I can’t find the one we used.
Desperately need them to get letterboxed, spelling bee and strands on there, too. I play every night, and it just feels wrong not being able to play right now
Replace waiter with “CEO” and you begin to understand why socialists believe what they do
No, there’s always genocide and extinction.
No, it just simply doesn’t. Regardless of how many (how fucking depressingly many) people voted for him, how fucked this country is, no one deserves to live through a fascist regime. We don’t want housing just for the good homeless, we don’t think only women who are “responsible” should have access to abortions, we don’t think only Respectable Gays should have marriage rights. In the same vein, we shouldn’t want only the good countries, only the good populations, to be free from tyranny. 70 million votes for that asshat, 70 out of 350. This country doesn’t deserve this, because no one deserves this.
Still haven’t seen it, but I’m gonna have to eventually
I might not be the best one to reply, but that “we’re a family” shit irritates me.
“If we’re a big family here, then you, and my coworkers, need to accept me as I am. This is who I am, this is how much I smile, and this is how much I socialize. Please, we my family, accept that.”
Yeah, the main character was based off of an ex girlfriend, who was a major goth/vamp girl, and Jewish.
Two thing:
1, mistletoe? Was unaware of that lore.
B, when I worked nightshift security, I wrote an urban fantasy novel (that has since been lost :( ), in the form of security log entries about a guard working at a warehouse in a world with ooky spookies everywhere. Tons of funny shit, but my favorites were the feral werewolf pups that would occasionally get inside, and had to be scared off with the vacuum cleaner.
Also, the vampires who were sitting shiva for themselves.
The ghosts who were haunting the warehouse, but only on weekends and holidays, as a vacation.
I need to rewrite it. It was honestly some of my best writing
Thanks for the visceral reminder to the first time I saw the lemon party :(
I lost my cat of 16 years at the end of last year. I’d had him longer than I hadn’t. He was the coolest dude, a highland lynx. A major goofball with zero balance, and all the chill. I still routinely see him lounging somewhere out of the corner of my eye, only to realize it’s a random bag or something. Breaks my heart every time. Same with all the pets I’ve lost over the years. They’re special in a way that non animal people will never be able to understand
