We could also just kill the rich. It may not be the ideal solution but it is definitely a potential solution. I think we negotiate from a weaker position when we act like that isn’t an option. Taxation, wealth redistribution, and caps on political donations should be seen as the preferable option to public beheadings, which is how the masses used to settle these kinds of grievances when pushed far enough. I say we frame it that way instead of “please don’t do mean stuff anymore Mr. CEO”, which is what they hear when we talk about more civilized solutions.

Late to streaming? Netflix was the first big time streaming service that I ever heard of. The main reason their streaming service was able to take off like it did is that nobody else of significance thought that streaming was worth pursuing. What other companies were offering streaming services at anything approaching scale before Netflix?

I don’t know about that. There are many people in this thread who have clearly never owned an EV making all kinds of false statements about them. Unless oil and gas companies are sending bots to Lemmy now I think people just don’t understand EVs.
