Linux@lemmy.world•Arch Linux's AUR Sees More Than 400 Packages Compromised With MalwareEnglish
28·15 hours agoI agree that that isn’t a lot of packages but it matters more which packages were compromised. Some random package like ten people have installed? Who cares. yay or spotify? We might have some problems.
Edit: after looking at the list some look fairly concerning. I’d definitely be doing a diff on my packages and the list of the compromised packages if i used Arch, btw.

5·2 days agoBlack holes emit thermal radiation. Sometimes they can be way hotter than 3 K. It depends on the size of the black hole. They higher the temp the smaller the black hole.
You can go read about Hawking radiation, Hawking temperature, and black hole thermodynamics if you want to learn more.

6·3 days agoWhy would americans mock japanese for eating chicken on a holiday? We do the same with turkey on thanksgiving which isn’t much different than kfc other than who made it. Everyone on this planet is brainwashed a bit by their ancestors.
You’re very welcome. Good luck in your gardening endeavours!

21·4 days agoYou do you but just remember that we live in a society chock full of surveillance. Running away isn’t a guarantee that you won’t be caught. They can track your phone, your face, or your car with very little effort on their part.
So maybe don’t incite people to violence for a tech device. Just go punch him yourself if you’re so inclined.

19·5 days agoAsk the Colorado river how that works out. So much is piped out that the river no longer makes it to the ocean. It just peters out into a dry river bed dozens of miles from the shore nowadays.
Does the party not realize they’re standing ass to elbows with a fire mage? I’d be giving him a wide berth under all circumstances, not just when he’s “charging up”. That motherfucker can throw fire from his fingertips in a cone just as easily as he can call a fireball from the heavens.

Doubt. Bikers already have to contend with electric bikes, electric mopeds, and electric motos in the bike lanes so you can guarantee these assholes will be there too, especially if the automobile roads are jammed.
