Where are the conservative conspiracy theorists who talked about Obama putting us in FEMA death camps? Where were they when we actually had refrigerated trucks full of corpses in NYC?
They blamed a shadowy, undefined “deep state” that was able to morph and change to be blamed for every single thing they felt was wrong with their life that has nothing to do with government.
Now they have brash public unelected officials who publicly do everything they can to undermine the government and it turns out when you can define what these people are doing it’s easier to ignore or make excuses for them.
Every accusation is an admission, and diluting meaningful dialogue is entirely the point.
Only good faith interlocutors care about hypocrisy.

I’m reminded of Rand Paul repeatedly pushing an “Audit the Fed” bill despite the fact that the Federal Reserve is already audited.
Also might want to point out how the DOGE staffer demanded write-access to the Treasury’s database backend systems. I’ve been through a few accounting audits in my time. Never had an auditor demand the ability to overwrite data in my system of record.
Would be pretty crazy if the purpose of DOGE was to perpetrate fraud rather than uncovering it, don’t you agree?
If there was an audit done in the past, how the heck did the money still end up in the hands of terror organizations, corruptors and countries hostile to the US?? Why only now they’re being exposed?
