Yes, I wrote shorts that were bulky AND I couldn’t keep things in the pockets because it was CONVENIENT.
I always struggled yanking the legs over my shoes. Sometimes they’d get so stuck that I thought I might have to cut them off my foot. I could’ve taken my shoes off first, but that would’ve been more steps.
The nicer pairs have a zipper down at the cuff of the pants that lets you open them up a bit for easier removal of the legs
I have a pair that zips open all the way, which is extremely convenient.
