Two psychologists are warning that President Donald Trump’s frequent confusion and mounting physical issues may be pointing to something more troubling than just aging. On their podcast Shrinking Trump, psychologists John Gartner and Harry Segal argued that the 79-year-old president is showing both physical and linguistic symptoms of what they call “early dementia.”

Trump should be forced to do what he wanted Biden to do. Where’s all those cognitive tests now? What happened to all the concern about elderly presidents in the last 3 years? It was a #1 crisis when Biden was president and every yawn in public was dissected, but now that Trump is dozily walking around, suddenly age doesn’t matter.

Yeah… As someone who has a lot of geriatric patients, even elderly people in good health can regularly doze off during certain parts of the day. Not sure how anyone could claim any cognitive decline at his age and weight could be considered early onset.

Tbh he is doing fairly well for his weight at that age, meaning he’s still alive. Which is baseline better than most 80 year old overweight and inactive men.

Imo I think he had a little stroke when he went up to Alaska to meet Putin. I think that’s why all his staff looked scared as shit during that trip, and why he’s been less active and traveling less since then. Long plane rides are pretty bad for people with peripheral edema, and clotting issues. Also explains the bruising on his hands, they got that dude stuffed to the gills with blood thinners.

      This was my reaction.

To be fair, I’m pretty sure they’re basing 100% of their analysis on his public appearances, which is likely when he’s at his best. He’s either following a script or he’s been coached on what to say immediately prior to going in front of a camera.

In any case, America is cooked. He’s not going to step down, and there’s still a nontrivial amount of support for him to be installed as grand pubah.

The insane MAGA cult is Trump; they’re inseparable. After he dies, Trump’s gonna be pickled and put on display like Lenin on the National Mall. They can’t let him go.

That’s optimistic, I expect them to prop him up and have him continue being their leader well after he starts to decay, weekend at Bernie’s style.

Is it just me or does anyone else remember when everyone and their mother was in an outrage over Bidens age? Did that really happen or am I just dreaming?

He sure as shit won’t be getting any better. But it won’t matter. A big part of his usefulness is distracting us from what the real fascists are doing in the background. Should Vance, for some reason, have to take over, he’ll serve a similar function.

They’ve only got a couple more goal posts to reach before the president is an unnecessary road block for them, as soon as they get there a dead president is going to be a great reason to declare martial law. Regardless of how he goes it’ll be blamed on the left and the boots will roll out.

… and Erdogan has cancer, Putin is seriously ill and the Russian economy is about to collapse any day now …

Instead of wishful thinking, protest, resist, and challenge authoritarianism in every way possible.

…we can assess his brain for abnormalities during autopsy. For now let’s just treat him as what he is currently: a domestic enemy to the US and its constitution, a rapist, and a pedophile, among other things.

Add murder to the list. Having Epstein killed in his cell is likely, but is obviously impossible to nail down at this point.

He has however bragged about bombing those Venezuelan fishermen on his order.

I don’t care about party affiliation on a matter like this. If someone is mentally unfit, they should be removed. No exceptions.

The GOP president was always a mouthpiece anyway.

It’s why I try to talk about the Heritage Foundation policies instead of Trump. It’s a lot of rich assholes, not old white crazy guys with mob-boss style speaking.

Early dementia refers to the progression of the disease, he’s unlikely to die from it during this term.

As opposed to early onset dementia which is when a younger person than usual is diagnosed.

He was mentally unfit long before signs of aging and dementia started appearing. His supporter base will remain in denial about it for as long as he has a pulse.

Sleepy Don! That’s what everyone calls him folks. He’s low energy and old. So old. I remember when my dog was old like that. Kristi Noem said to me “just shoot him, take him out back and shoot him” and I did. Just like that! Bang! No more sleepy useless old dog. And lots of people said it was a good thing, including my good friend Jeff.

Oh, I dare say he’s been demented for quite some time now. It all started when he was regrettably born, and then it went downhill from there.
